Especially popular around Christmas-time, clementines are a type of tangerine, the main differences being that clementines have a closer skin, are seedless and usually sweeter. Imported clementines are available throughout the winter months.
Uses: Eat raw, include in winter salads or cook in marmalades and preserves.
To store: Keep at room temperature and use within a few days, or store in a cool, dark place and use within 10 days.
To prepare: Peel the skin away and divide the fruit into segments, removing any white pith.
